Reviews for A Hint of Hell

“Kieron rocks. He’s naive, innocent and ridiculously heroic in a hellish situation, which provides countless laughs when he tries to take on Satan Claus and his hellish relatives. Great story.” Michael Davies, Goodreads.

He’s just failed at being evil…

Kieron Lascher thought his life as a minor demon lord in Hell couldn’t get any worse, but when he fails his exams and is sent into another realm as punishment by his parents, he realises that there are worse places than Hell.

With deadly beasts and evil Satan Claws roaming the frosty land, Kieron has to fight to survive. With the help of a banished succubus, he learns that he needs to find the missing codex to gain some power.

If he manages to take out Satan Claws and learn pure evil, he might be able to open a portal and go back home. But first, he has to master being truly evil to some cute little elves. That won’t be difficult for a demon lord, right?

  1. Susan

It was a very enjoyable book, I recommend everyone to read it , you won’t regret it. It was wonderfully written. I look forward to reading the other books as well. Thank you for such a humorously written book that I could escape into.

  2. Rebecca D.

I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this series! Kieron’s character is one of the most likeable and unique I’ve read in a story in a long time. The complexities of his life and background help us to understand more about where he’s coming from and I’m very glad I got to read both origin nooks before I started in on the series. I highly recommend reading this book towards the beginning of the Demon Diaries. Its definitely one of my favorites.

  3. Cindy

Poor Kieron being Evil is such a chore for him. He may even be an Angel in disguise. I loved how he made Satan Claws good. This was a very enjoyable read. I loved it.

  4. Angie

    This was cute.

  5. SkullyCat

I loved this short story about Kieron. He’s one of my favorite characters because he is just so loveable for a demon. The way Santa Claus and christmas were used in Kieron’s story were pretty genious. I definitely recommend this story to anyone who loved the demon diaries just as much as I did!

  6. Pat

As expected, having read the rest of the series, another excellent book, poor Kieron never seems to get it right loved it

  7. Jennifer

I loved this this one! Kieran is my favorite. It was light and darkly funny, as are all the books in the series. I would recommend reading this one before reading Deceased Dora (which I didn’t) because spoilers. Still did not ruin my enjoyment of this story.

  8. Rhianna

I read this story over Christmas, and it was perfect timing. It’s not only got a wickedly funny Christmas theme, but it’s all about Kieron, which of course makes it even more funny. A great read. My only complaint is that I wish it had been longer.
