Reviews for Deceased Dora

“This book is full of hilarity, and there are really only so many ways to say that I loved it.”  Melanie, Fang Freaking Tastic Reviews.

“I couldn’t put my kindle down this book is that good!” Brittany, Amazon.

After being expelled from Hell, she woke up in her own coffin…

When Dora Carridine wakes up in her coffin, the first thing she plans to do is find out what happened to her friends since they were also exiled from Hell. But Dora didn’t come back entirely human, and everyone keeps trying to kill her.

If she manages to avoid being bitten by an over-amorous, Victorian vampire, being captured by the Vatican and being roasted alive by her neighbors, then hopefully she can find Kieron and find out what she really is.

But first, she has to put an end to an ancient war amongst the paranormal beings on Earth. How hard can that be?

Wow. This was a fast and exciting read and full of humour. I love the antics that Dora and her friends (old and new) get up to, to find each other. While reading this book it felt like I was right there watching it all happen. I can’t wait for Dora’s adventure to continue.

  2. Dhwani

Deceased Dora is all about Dora’s journey to find her friends and while doing so, save herself from the trouble that somehow always finds her. Deceased Dora is surely to make you laugh until you cry. Full of supernatural folk, Deceased Dora is a treat to read! I found it extremely hilarious and can definitely not wait for the next part. I love the way Claire (Chiltion) has the ability to manipulate her characters (and readers) and make them see what she wants them to see. A wonderful book!
Spoiler alert:- Don’t call Pooey a teddy bear, he’s a Demon!

  3. Rebecca D.

I’d definitely like to know what inspires Claire Chilton’s masterfully crafted and complex characters. This was one of the longer more complex stories she’s written yet and I absolutely applaud her brilliance with the way she handles the large war scenes. It’s comedic but at the same time suspenseful. There are so many types of supernatural characters touched upon that weren’t before and her choice of personalities for each ‘supernatural’ person was perfect. I couldn’t find one thing to complain about. The story flowed at my kind of speed, fast, since I read so much and really get into the characters. If you want to read a book where the author gets into her writing, you can really tell with this book.

This book was just as good as the first, it made me laugh so hard. I really enjoy this author and her books. There were some mistakes but over all really funny, and a very entertaining read.

  6. Pat Cashmore

Loved it, loved it, really great book, having read the first book I knew it would be. Enjoyed it, could not put it down once I started, wanted to get to end to see what happened, can’t wait to read next one.

  7. SkullyCat

The second book in the series. I had pretty high expectations because the first book was so good and it didn’t let me down! I loved reading about the new characters and Dora’s battles. Pooey is still my favorite character, but I am really excited to read more about Peggy and Lucian! I simply can’t wait for the next book and really recommend this one.

  8. Jennifer

I really liked this book. It was very funny in a dark sort of way, as I have come to expect from this series. I enjoyed getting to know the characters from the first book a little better. I also enjoyed some of the new ones, but if I have any criticism, it is that there were sometimes too many, making them both shallow and hard to keep up with. There are a couple I hope to see again in the third book. Overall, I still loved it. Only 4 stars because I thought the first book was better. Very much looking forward to the next one.

  9. Rhianna

I liked this book even more that the first one. I don’t know if it was the skanky unicorn or the werewolves ‘full moon’ that did it for me, but this is a fantastic read for anyone who likes to giggle at the paranormal. I can’t wait for book 3!
