Here is a simple guide about how to add an EPUB file to your Kobo ereader device using Windows or a Mac computer. If you’re using the Kobo eReader device, you will need to add the EPUB file to your device before you begin reading it.
Add an EPUB to Kobo using Windows
To add EPUB to your Kobo eReader using a Windows computer, follow the instructions below:
- When selecting a product from our website, choose the EPUB file if you have a Kobo eReader device.
- Click the EPUB Download link, and save the file to a folder on your computer by selecting the ‘Save As’ option.
- Once you’ve downloaded your EPUB file, connect your Kobo eReader to your computer using the USB cable. Your eReader will prompt you to either keep reading or manage your library. You can use your computer or the Desktop to add books and manage your eReader.
- Using the Navigation Pad, select Manage Library. Windows should detect that you connected a new device.
- When prompted for an action, select Open folder to view files. A window should open, showing the contents of your eReader.
- In another Explorer window, navigate to where you stored the eBooks you want to move to your eReader.
- Drag and drop your eBooks into the eReader window. You can now disconnect your eReader and read your new books.
